ANN MCCARTHY – Acupuncture, Cupping, Moxibustion.

Ann is a licensed Acupuncturist graduating from The Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland in 2008. After completing clinical training at Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China she set up a professional practice in Dublin in 2009. In 2014, Ann moved to Sydney with her family where she is delighted to continue her passion to practice Acupuncture.

Ann’s experience treating clients has strengthened her belief in the tremendous healing power of acupuncture. She provides a caring and professional service and is passionate about getting results for her clients, working with them holistically to treat the root cause of their symptoms and improve overall health & wellbeing using Acupuncture, dietary and lifestyle advice.

Ann is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMRB) and adheres to a strict code of ethics and conduct. She is covered with health funds offering rebates for Acupuncture.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the practice of inserting tiny needles at specific points on the body to treat illness or promote health and well-being. Oriental medical theory describes a network of energy pathways in the body (meridians) that can be accessed on the surface at the Acupuncture points. The points to be used in a session are chosen by the practitioner based on traditional theories outlined in texts that are at least 2000 years old. More…

Cupping

Cupping therapy is a technique that involves using small glass, bamboo or plastic cups as suction devices that are placed on the skin. The suction in the cups causes the skin and superficial muscle layer to be lightly drawn, or sucked into the cup (creating a temporary cupping mark). Ann is available these times each week.

  • Tuesday 10:30am-2:30pm
  • Thursday 10:30pm-7:00pm
Qualifications
  • Licentiate in Acupuncture, Acupuncture Foundation of Ireland.
  • Certificate in Clinical Practice of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, International Acupuncture Training Centre, Nanjing University of TCM, China.
  • Member of Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia (CMRB).
Fees
  • First appointment Acupuncture or Cupping 75 mins – $130
  • Subsequent appointment Acupuncture/Cupping – 45 mins – $90
  • Subsequent appointment Cupping only – 45 mins – $80
